Mission Vision of the Nursing Service

The Nursing Service is part of the hospital's total health organization with its mission at satisfying the nursing needs of the individual, family and community, by adequately prepared nursing personnel to assume their various roles in the promotion of health, prevention of disease, maintenance of health and rehabilation. 

It is the mission of the nursing service to have knowledgeable, skillful, committed, compassionate and caring nursing service personnel to give the best possible health care regardless if race, color, social status, capability to pay and political belief. 

Objectives: 

General:  To provide quality nursing care

Specific: 

    1. To establish and maintatin acceptable standards of nursing care. 

    2. To provide the nursing personnel with opportunities for continuing education and training. 

    3. To provide nursing and midwifery students with related learning experiences. 

    4. To maintain good interdepartmental and itradepartmental relationship with the hospital.

    5. To provide social, spiritual, legal and moral supports to the nursing service personnel. 

    6. To conduct and participate in researches related to nursing and nursing care. 

    7. To provide linkages with GOs and NGOs outside teh hospital facility. 

Philosophy

The Nursing Service Department of this hospital recognizes and appreciates the objectives of the hospital and acknowledge that the primary purpose of nursing is to provide highest quality of nursing services that is possible in assisting the patient with the meeting his daily needs wherever he is located in hte health illness continuum. 

We believe that the hospital is basically an organization of human beings, constructed with the purpose of serving all kinds of people irrespective of class, status, recial, political and religious affiliation. 

We believe that quality in nursing care and management of nursing services is achieved through professional nurses who assist and deliver patient care services, nurses who are dedicated in the performance of nursing care, nurses who aspire for continous growth and development in their profession. These nurses are assisted by nurses aides and institutional workers who perform function and duties with the frame of each unit (ward) in the hospital. 

Objectives

    1. The primary objectives of the nursing service department is focused on these basic elements: 

    2. To provide a high quality nursing care and services rendered to patients by professional nurses and nurses aides.

    3. Establish and maintain a standard of care in terms of patients needs in which physical, spiritual, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs are meet. 

    4. Being a training and teaching hospital this department serves as a clinical laboratory for nursing students an trainees in the practical side of their education. 

    5. Develop educational programs designed to advance skills and knowledge in nursing services.

    6. Foster and maintain good public relations within the hospital and the community.
